Masonic Village at Lafayette Hill is hiring a Assistant Dietary Manager. This is a Full Time Day and Evening 11:00am-7:00pm including Every Other Weekend, opportunity.

What You'll Do:

As a Assistant Dietary Manager you will carry out our Mission of Love by planning and directing nutritional care of residents in accordance with the physicians' diagnosis and requirements of regulatory agencies with overview of contract Dietician on a bi-weekly basis.  Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team to develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate residents' care plans.  Functions as a member of the Food Services team to develop strategies for effectiveness and continuity of services offered to residents. Our Assistant Dietary Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Assists the Dietary Manager and Director of Food Services in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, and standards of care to meet the needs of the residents and the requirements established by regulatory agencies. Participate in facility QAPI when food and nutrition services are involved.
  • Consults with and provides recommendation to medical and nursing staff on appropriate nutritional interventions to improve resident nutritional status or prevent deterioration of health
  • Provides nutritional counseling and education for residents and/or their families to assist them in understanding medical nutritional therapy and in making desired changes in eating habits under the guidance and direction of the consultant dietitian
  • Evaluates effectiveness of nutritional interventions on individual resident status and makes appropriate changes to plan of care as warranted under the guidance and direction of the consultant dietitian.
  • Provides nutritional counseling and education for residents and/or their families to assist them in understanding medical nutritional therapy and in making desired changes in eating habits under the guidance and direction of the consultant dietitian. Assist in the development and provision of educational programs for residents and families.
  • Works closely with contract Dietician for all charting and nutritional care for Healthcare Residents. Reviews logs and charts with contract dietician for approval.
  • Assist with the development/implementation of person centered education regarding food and nutrition for all facility staff.
  • Supervise meal service which includes the setup of tables, prep, serving of food and cleanup for meal service in both dining rooms.Monitor the temperature of food and equipment and take corrective action for non-compliance. Inspect dining rooms and equipment for cleanliness and keep all equipment in good repair; take corrective action for non-compliance
  • Prepares and presents performance evaluations to staff. Administers disciplinary actions
  • Supervises dietary staff.. Interviews, orients and train new employees.

What You Definitely Have:

  • B.S Degree in Nutrition.
  • ServeSafe Certification.
  • Experience with electronic medical records software. 
  • Two years' experience in a supervisory capacity in dining service or food service. 
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
