What You'll Do:

As a Baker, you will carry out our Mission of Love by working under the general supervision of the Production Manager and Production Supervisor developing bakery recipe formulas and preparing various types and styles of foods using all manner of bakery food service preparation equipment. Specializes in the use of technically advanced baking and/or cook/chill food production methods.

Our Baker is responsible for the following:

  • Under direction of the Production Supervisor, develops, tests and analyzes bakery recipe formulas for residents/customers.
  • Directs and leads the preparation and baking of foods and using a variety of equipment designed for bakery production.
  • Directs and assists in the cleaning and sanitizing of all bakery production equipment.
  • Directs and assists in the production of foods from preprinted developed recipes following the requirements listed on food production sheets and using both Cook/Chill and Conventional baking, cooking equipment.
  • Coordinates bakery production with available equipment to ensure efficient use of equipment and timely completion of food production processes.
  • Portions and pans finished bakery products into designated pans, and chill product using appropriate procedures in Blast Chiller.

What You Have:

  • Ability to read, understands, and follows standardized recipes, production sheet, recipe Mathematics and therapeutic diets spread.
  • Experience in leading production personnel.
  • Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
  • Four years or more of experience as a baker preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited chef's school or college preferred.
