Masonic Village at Lafayette Hill is hiring an Assistant Dining Room Supervisor. This is a Full Time, Day/Evening opportunity.

What You'll Do:

As an Assistant Dining Room Supervisor , you will carry out our Mission of Love by being responsible for providing work schedules, assignments and supervision to a staff of  non-exempt employees.  You may conduct performance reviews and process payroll.  You will recommend and may conduct disciplinary action and will be involved in its resolution.  You will assist in coordinating and supervising customer relations and services, event organizing, and training of employees in the Village Restaurant, Bistro and assigned event areas. You will also maintain prompt and courteous service.

Our Assistant Dining Room Supervisors are responsible for the following:

  • Assists in setting up tables and the serving of food for regular and special meals.
  • Directs in seating residents and servers to assure proper dining services.
  • Inspects the dining room and equipment for cleanliness and condition, and generate work order if necessary..
  • Assists in the Dining Room, orients new employees and instructs and trains them in work procedures according to standard.  
  • Arranges work schedules and assigns duties as required.
  • Maintains records as directed by the Dining Room Manager.
  • Orders supplies and equipment from the storeroom as directed by the Dining Room Manager.
  • Processes bi-weekly payroll as required.
  • Operates computer as directed by the Dining Room Manager.
  • Observe and direct staff as needed to improve service. Ensure staff is dressed appropriately prior to start of shift.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service / satisfaction that will directly correlate with resident satisfaction scores.

What You Definitely Have:

  • At least one year of experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Good written and oral communication with knowledge of computer applications.
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • One year of experience in front of the house supervision preferred.
  • Serv Safe Certification and RAMP certification preferred.
